Salute to AR Rahman Ji!!

AR Rahman!!!

Am not gonna celebrate him jus cos he has been honored with two Oscar's.

Am gonna celebrate him for the modesty i see in him, gratitude in his voice & the compassion in his eyes. He has heart to accept "அவனின்றி ஓர் அணுவும் அசையாது"

I cant presume if he is a blessed person or if he is payed for the honesty he practices. After seeing too many gimmick personalities in the cine industry, i still cant even believe that there is someone like Rahman in Indian cine industry. His ears are open for critics, but he prefers to answer them in his next creation than answering by words. His eyes are open for fresh changes, but he is always the one to bring in change.

As a proud tamilian, since my childhood I've seen him growing from scratch. Few people do their jobs, not expecting the result or benefit out of it. Those rarest gems gets recognized by world & also gets a chance to live even after life.

Rahman..
  • A trend setter in Indian Music..
  • An extra ordinary musician..
  • A person with astonishing voice..
  • A person who encourages fresh talents..
  • A person who took India to Oscar standards..
  • A person who stands proud in the world dais as a proud Indian & most of all a successful Tamilian..
He knows the pulse of the audience.. He knows the tricks to master, master minds..

He is a magician with musical wand in hand!!

A proud salute to rahman ji!! YOU DESERVE IT JI & of course even more!!!!

JAIHO!!!!!

AR deserved it. but not for this movie.
His converted minority religion is there ,every where he goes. Some times, it irks.
As a true middle class mindset Indian/tamilan we can't expect him to at least mention peace in SL.
He would have been remembered for ages to have brought the attn. to the crisis. Clooney does, Moore does , many responsible musicians does that (U2, Boss).

@Kodumpavi: I have the same feel! India's negative side has been shown so open to the world.. When she is famous for her heritage n culture, this movie had ruined every bit of it!!
But happy to the core tht an indian is being looked by the entire world with an awe.. Though it wasn't an Indian movie.. song ennamo Hindi thaana ;)

I always have high regards n liking for Rahman & jus not cos he has oscars in each hand :) i would say he has done better music than Slumdog!!

@anonymous: i can completely feel u on tht..

i just saw the movie y'day.i have to disagree on "ஆனா இந்தியாவ இப்படி கேவலப்படுத்தி இருக்க வேண்டாம்". We conveniently forget these things. Though we see this in our daily life.
Enna kodumai na, our parliment dudes were praising themselves for the Oscar's. Unwittingly, ruling party's policies show up along with our emotions in the movie.

There was an article in Hindu or some daily, during the week of Chandraayan that some people died during the septic tank cleanup. We still are doing this manual cleanup, while we solve Y2k and other capitalist problems.

There are two ways to show the slum, the real one with out any millionaire ending and the real one.

Boyle and Q&A author want to make a feel good movie exploting the reality. We can't blame them though. It's what's there.

Namma kollywood and bollywood make movies in swiss and canada. After 3 hrs of masala stupidity, I really don't know where Vijay worked in "Villu".

How often have you seen a Indian Hero raiding a regular non sports model bicycle?
